Renji Panicker Biography
Renji Panicker Education
He received a journalism certificate from Press Club in Thiruvananthapuram and a bachelor’s degree in business from Sanatana Dharma College in Alappuzha. He earned a master’s degree in journalism from Kerala University in Karyavattom.
Renji Panicker Early Life
On January 21, 1958, he was born in Nedumudi, Alleppey, to Keshava Panicker and Laalamani. Aneeta Mariam Thomas, a fellow student at Kerala University, was Renji Panicker’s spouse. Renji Panicker Career
Director Shaji Kailas requested Renji to write a script after being struck by Renji’s use of words in a 1990 interview for a cinema magazine. Renji, who has been politically active since his undergraduate years, tried out a political comedy named Dr. Pasupathy, and it was a hit. However, nobody recognized him despite the success of his debut film. Sreenivasan starred in Jayaraj’s disastrous Akashakottayile Sulthan, which was his subsequent film, which came out in 1991. This made Renji think twice about pursuing a career in movies. In 1992, Renji attempted once more, this time per Kailas’ advice. The relationship between Shaji and Renji was established with the success of Thalastaanam, a drama about campus politics.
Renji wrote Sthalathe Pradhana Payyans in 1993. In this Kailas-directed film, comic actor Jagadish, who had previously only appeared in supporting roles, made a significant career change. (Requires citation) Jagadish depicted a regular guy who miraculously became the state’s home minister. Following the 150-day run of Sthalathe Pradhana Payyans in theatres, Renji Panicker rose to prominence as one of Malayalam cinema’s finest screenwriters. The following, Ekalavyan, had its premiere in May 1993. The plot of Kailas’ action thriller Ekalavyan was the sinister collaboration between politicians and drug traffickers. Suresh Gopi’s portrayal of a police officer in the lead part helped him establish himself as an up-and-coming star of Malayalam cinema. Ekalavyan completed its run in most theatres after 150 days. The mafia then became the hub of the underworld in Bangalore. Renji became the most costly scriptwriter in Malayalam film because to its 1993 production, which was overseen by Kailas and starring Gopi.
Renji’s second film, IRoudram, which starred Mammootty in the title role, was a success. It was a different police report. In Renji’s next movie, The King & the Commissioner, Mammootty and Gopi played the key roles of Joseph Alex I.A.S. and Bharathchandran I.P.S. from The King and the Commissioner, respectively. Kailas managed the steering. There were huge anticipation for this movie because Mammootty and Gopi, as well as Kailas and Panicker, were reunited in it after a protracted break.
