She attended Stanes Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School in Coonoor from Pre-K to 5th grade. In 2001, she completed her high school education at Thrissur’s Chinmaya Vidyalaya. She received a BA in journalism from Bengaluru’s Christ University.

Rima Kallingal Early Life

On November 1, 2013, Rima married director Aashiq Abu in an intimate ceremony at Kochi’s Kakkanad Registration office. They donated one million rupees during the celebration to assist underprivileged cancer patients at the General Hospital in Ernakulam, and an additional $25,000 was used to pay for the hospital’s dietary kitchen for one day.

Born in Thrissur, Rima Kallingal is a dancer from Kerala who began dancing at the age of three. She dances professionally and has appeared on stages all around the world with the Nritarutya dance company. She is also skilled in the martial arts of Taekwondo, Chao (Myanmar), and Kalari (Africa) (Korea).

She advanced to the semifinals of the reality competition show Vodafone Thakadhimi on Asianet. She moved to Bengaluru to pursue a modelling career and participated in the Miss Kerala competition, where she finished second to the eventual winner Shree Thulasi on the tie-breaker for the competition.

Director Lal Jose cast her as a goat herder in the Tamil movie Mazhai Varappoguthu after spotting her on a magazine cover. She made her acting debut, though, when director Shyamaprasad offered her the part of Varsha in his movie Ritu. She was 25 years old when she appeared in the movie.

She made her acting debut in the 2012 critical and commercial success 22 Female Kottayam. She earned praise and won several honours for her portrayal of Tessa. Another of her numerous triumphs was the Best Actress Award awarded by the Keralan government. She acknowledged her mistakes in her career after the success of 22 Female Kottayam, saying, “Yes, I have done a few films I never should have, but I am vowed not to repeat those mistakes.”
