Although Dolly Bose Roy and Brothindranath Roy’s son Ronit Bose Roy was born in Nagpur on October 11, 1965, he spent the majority of his early years in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Roy’s early sponsor and seasoned director Subhash Ghai encouraged him to start his career as a management trainee at Mumbai’s Sea Rock Hotel. The 1990s saw Roy appear in a number of movies, although he never found significant economic success.
