After receiving a junior college acceptance, she took part in her first stage performance. She participated in college-wide street plays, which increased her involvement in the performing arts. A role in the popular Marathi comedy series Ya Gojirvanya Gharat was offered to Sai. As a result of her success from the sitcom, she moved on to star in other Marathi TV productions like Agni Sikha, Sathi Re, and Kasturi.

In 2008, Sai made his cinematic debut in Subhash Ghai’s Black & White. She did, however, make her Marathi cinema debut the same year with Rajeev Patil’s Sanai Chowghade. Sai gave powerful performances in the movies Pune 52 (2013), Duniyadari (2013), and Time Please (2013). (2013). The lead in the 2015 movie Hunter, Hunter, in which Gulshan Devaiah also acted, was one of her most enduring roles in Bollywood. She appeared in several Marathi movies that were released in 2016, including YZ, Jaudya Na Balasaheb, Family Katta, Vazandar, and Rakshas. One of her 2019 albums is titled Girlfriend. She will release two titles in 2020 under the names Cookie and Ashleel Udyog Mitra Mandal.
