He completed his studies at Delhi’s S.G.T.B. Khalsa College, where he had previously attended. He entered the professional entertainment sector in 1984 and quickly advanced through the ranks.
Saurabh Shukla Early Life
Shukla was born in Gorakhpur to Shatrughan Shukla, an Agra Gharana singer, and Jogamaya Shukla, the country’s first female tabla player. His family relocated to Delhi when he was two years old. The state of Uttar Pradesh in India contains the lovely and populated city of Gorakhpur. When Saurabh Shukla finished his formal education, he began his early career as a film director.

In 1986, Shukla made his stage debut in a number of plays, including Hayvadan, Ghashiram Kotwal, Look Back in Anger, A View from the Bridge, and Arthur Miller’s A View from the Bridge. He enrolled at the National School of Drama’s professional division, the NSD Repertoire Company, in 1991 to advance his acting career. The following year, Shekhar Kapur hired him for a role in Bandit Queen after noticing some potential in him.
Shukla co-starred with Vijay Anand as Gopi, his sidekick, in the Doordarshan crime drama Tehkikaat from 1994. The series’ remaining episodes were all directed by Karan Razdan, but Kapur handled the premiere. His acting and writing were both highlighted in Zee TV’s 9 Malabar Hill. He played a fleeting but recurring role as Aamir’s jasoos (chieftain’s spy) in the Raghubir Yadav-starring Doordarshan TV series Mulla Nasiruddin in the 1990s. The story of Mulla Nasiruddin served as the show’s source of inspiration. Shukla also makes an appearance in the comedy works 2 to Tango and 3 to Jive.
