After receiving her degree, she started working at Indian Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. in the marketing and sales department. In September 2011 she moved to Mumbai, resigned her job, and started an acting career. She has taken the stage in a number of plays, such as “Trivial Disasters,” “Noises Off,” and “Cock.” “Second Marriage Dot Com,” which came out in 2012, marked her acting debut. She gained fame with her second movie, “Margarita with a Straw” (2014), starring Kalki Koechlin.
