Shaakuntalam movie digital rights were acquired by Amazon Prime Video it’s streaming on 11 May 2023. Gunsekar was also writing the script for a movie called “Hiranya Kasyapu,” in which he and Ballaladev Rana Daggubati were going to star. But Suresh Babu recently said that Gunasekar was no longer working on the project. He didn’t say why. Shakuntalam, on the other hand, has his full attention right now.

The movie Shaakuntalam is based on the well-known Sanskrit play Abhijnana Shakuntalam by Kalidasa. Samantha and Dev Mohan play Shakuntala and King Dushyant from the Mahabharata.

Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Madhubala, Gautami, Aditi Balan, Ananya Nagalla, Jisshu Sengupta, and other actors appear in Gunasekhar’s film Shaakuntalam. The pictures were taken by Shekar V.
