Shobana Early Life

On March 21, 1970, in Thiruvananthapuram, Shobana was born to Chandrakumar Pillai and Anandam Chandrakumar.

She is related to the Lalitha, Padmini, and Ragini Travancore sisters, well-known traditional Indian dancers and actresses. Sukumari, a famous actress, was her father’s sister. Celebrity Malayalam actress Ambika Sukumaran is her cousin. His cousins are the Malayalam actors Vineeth and Krishna. The name Ananthanarayani belongs to their adopted daughter.

Shobhana is completely alone when it comes to relationships. In 2011, she adopted a baby girl named Anantha Narayani, and overnight she found herself responsible for raising a child by herself.

Shobana Career

Among her best works are the novels Rudraveena (1988), Abhinandana (1988), Thalapathi (1991), and Manichitrathazhu (1992). (1993). She established her own dance school in 1994 and is a proficient dancer of the Bharatanatyam dance style. She received the Padma Shri, one of India’s highest civilian honours, from the Indian government in 2006.

Amar Prem, a 1972 Bollywood film, served as Shobana’s acting début; nevertheless, April 18, a 1975 Malayalam film, featured her in a key role (1984). She became well-known thanks to the commercial and critical success of the film. She went on to star in numerous other movies following the success of Kanamarayathu (1984), T.P.
