Verdict

We’ve seen a lot of movies where the main character was poor but had big dreams, and what he did to make those dreams come true. The most recent one was Gully Boy. The story is similar, but how it’s told is important. The Taaza Khabar series doesn’t tell a new story, but it does have all the things that make young and middle-class people alike. But the first two episodes aren’t very interesting, but we get to know all the characters and learn about the story.

The drama gets more interesting when Vasant starts using his superpower, which he calls “Crypto” trading. Where he lives, no one knows what “crypto” is, and scenes about it make us laugh for a while. But when he decides to learn more about it, he gets caught in a money laundering case, which makes the series much more interesting. Even though we aren’t very interested in the show, we watch it all because of its grimy, dark premise and its focus on poverty.

This six-episode action-drama has everything it needs, but each episode goes up and down, and the lack of cliffhangers didn’t make people want to watch the next one. Even though you can binge-watch the series if you skip a few parts.

In his first role, Bhuvan Bham did a great job as Vasant Gawde, a middle-class guy who has big dreams. JD Chakravarthy did a good job, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Shilpa Shukla did well, and the rest of the cast did well, too.

Technically, Taaza Khabar is good. Remy Dalai’s gritty and dark visuals pull you into the world of Taaza Khabar and make you feel like you belong there. Jarvis Menezes and Saurabh Lokhande did a good job with the background score, and the rest of the technical team did their best.

Himank Gaur did a good job, but the story could have been told more clearly. His main point isn’t new, but he keeps us interested by talking about things like poverty, their desire to get rich, and what led them to live that way.

Overall, you should watch Taaza Khabar for a few reasons.
