Story

Gajaraj Rao plays the elderly and widowed husband of the household, Atmaram Dubey. He has erectile problems and finds it difficult in his advanced age to sate his need for sex. After many attempts to help Atmaram overcome his issue, Santhulan Kumar (Divyendu Sharma), also from the same city, decides that they should both travel to Thailand. The rest of the story is made up of the circumstances that Atmaram Dubey encountered after that.

Movie Verdict

Many people in our nation hold back on their desires because they are afraid of offending their families or the wider society. A similar idea is humorously explored in Thai massage. The movie has a lot of relatable sequences that will make people chuckle in theatres. The movie makes us chuckle from the moment the characters are introduced thanks to some funny one-liners and standout performances. Although most of the scenes appear pretty routine and the climax is resolved quite quickly, the second half of the film may feel lifeless.

Gajraj Rao is unquestionably this movie’s savior when it comes to performing talents. When you watch him on screen, his uncomplicated looks and actions will make you giggle uncontrollably. It’s a delight to witness how well he gets along with each performer in the film. Although his role seemed limited, Divyendu Sharma gave a respectable effort. Rajpal Yadav is entertaining in his little appearance, and all the other performers performed admirably as needed for the narrative.

The Thai Massage movie is technically acceptable. The Amit Trivedi song “Do You Wanna Boom Boom” is good, and Joi Barua’s background score fits the scene perfectly. Parts of the G Srinivas Reddy-assisted cinematography look fine, but the production team should have placed a little more emphasis on digital imaging because most of the shots appear to have too many saturated colors. Nothing feels dragged thanks to Devrao Jadhav and Manish Jaitly’s precise editing. The production values are adequate.

The movie’s director, Mangesh Hadawale, who also wrote the screenplay and storyline, might have focused a little more on the second half of the film. The movie’s first half appears to be amusing, but its second half can let you down because the same enjoyment is missing.

Thai Massage is an entertaining film overall, with the second half being a little disappointing. You should see this movie in a theatre if only for Gajraj Rao’s comic timing.
