Young Tamil actor Atharvaa Murali, after a long journey of ups and downs, finally gained recognition with the success of DNA. However, the joy was short-lived as his latest film, Thanal, struggled to make an impact at the box office.
The movie features a talented ensemble cast including Atharvaa Murali, Lavanya Tripathi, Ashwin Kakumanu, Shah Ra, Dileepan, Barani, Selva, Bose Venkat, Yogi Babu, Azhagam Perumal, and Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli, among others.
Thanal is directed by Ravindra Madhava and produced by M. John Peter under the banner of Annai Film Production. The film’s technical team boasts Kalaivanan R. as editor, Sakthi Saravanan as cinematographer, and Justin Prabhakaran as the music composer.
Originally delayed for quite some time, Thanal finally hit theaters in September 2025. Fans who missed it in cinemas can now stream the film on Amazon Prime Video starting October 17, 2025, with options in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
