Vamshi Paidipally was born in Khanapur, Telangana, on July 27, 1979. His parents own a movie theatre. He was brought up in the theatre from a young age. He got his master’s degree in computer applications from Osmania University. At work, he was a software engineer. After that, he became interested in movies, and he later got a job in the movie business. He married Malini, and the two of them now have a daughter.

The movie Oopiri, which he made in 2016 and was a box office hit, was a remake of the French movie The Intouchables. He then worked with Mahesh Babu on the movie Maharshi.
