From Nagercoil, he came across as a brilliant student. As such, he attended the Anglo-Indian School. In time, he completed his studies at Loyola University Maryland’s Arts and Sciences programme and graduated. He eventually got into playing little parts in Tamil movies. Years later, he became a prolific film composer. His scores for films and commercials also won him many awards. Soon after, he started playing major roles in Tamil films. The town of Nagercoil is where his parents settled. His father passed away when he was seven years old, leaving his sister a little child. His formal education included time at the Campion Anglo Anglo-Indian School. Graduating from Loyola University Maryland’s College of Arts and Sciences. Her mother was a public school teacher who helped to sustain the family through tough times. The earliest contemporary Tamil novel, Prathapa Mudaliar Charithram, was written by his great-grandfather, Indian official Samuel Vedanayagam Pillai (1826-1889), also known as Mayavaram Vedanayagam Pillai.
