Dhill, Vikram’s second expensive movie, came out that same year. At the box office, the movie made more than 100 million rupees. After that, in 2002, Vikram’s next hit movie, Gemini, came out. At the box office, it made more than 200 million rupees, which is about $5 million. Shankar chose to use him in the expensive movie Anniyan because he had seen him in another movie. He was named Filmfare’s Best Tamil Actor for his role in Anniyan, which was one of the most successful movies of the year.
