Movie Verdict
One of the greatest action shows ever is largely acknowledged as being the Israeli television program Fauda. The program also examines the psychology of people in great detail to see what drives terrorists. The makers of Tanaav, the Hindi version of Fauda, made no significant changes to the story, but the audience still didn’t connect with it. This is likely a result of their prior exposure to the premise and fundamental plot of the original series, The Kashmir Files.
Each episode ends on a cliffhanger that will keep you glued to the screen, but once the intelligence learns that Umar is alive, the series picks up and takes us along for the ride as we follow in their pursuit of him. However, while watching the series, we didn’t sense anything particularly novel because we’ve seen plenty of films that deal with Kashmir’s freedom and feature terrorists fighting for its freedom.
The show has a lot of issues, but it also has a lot of exciting portions that keep us watching episode after episode.
The rest of the cast performed admirably, and it is obvious that Manav Ji and Arbaaz Khan like playing characters with comparable traits. In particular, Rajat Kapoor, Sumit Kaul, Shashank Arora, Ekta Kaul, Waluscha D’souza, and Zareena Wahab made outstanding efforts.
Although Sudhir Mishra’s Indian adaptation of Fauda is excellent, the series as a whole looks unimpressive because the subject is so well-known to us. He was able to make a few episodes of the show, nevertheless.
Tanaav lacks in terms of production value. Particularly, the film’s imagery and score fall short of expectations.
Watch Tanaav if you enjoy action movies but haven’t seen the Fauda series.
