Masooda Movie Review: Because the horror genre has all but vanished these days, making a horror film takes a lot of guts. The teaser and trailer are unique and drew our attention, and it appears that Masooda is not your typical horror film. The film has finally been released, and one of the producers who has good taste in judging films is Rahul Yadav Nakka. He worked on films such as Malli Rava and Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya.
Story
Masooda is billed as a horror film in which a 17-year-old girl named Nazia, who acts unexplainably like her mother Sangitha, seeks help from her neighbour Gopi (Thiruveer), who suffers from a fear phobia. Nazia’s behaviour worsens after the pair takes her to “Peer Baba,” and Gopi and her mother begin to have problems with her. However, many questions remained unanswered as a result of her unusual behavior, and as events unfolded, they learned about a girl named Masooda. Finally, who is Masooda? The main focus of the film is her backstory.

Movie Verdict
The horror genre used to be one of the most exciting and gripping, but it has since vanished due to public needs for new storylines, making its revival impossible. Masooda, on the other hand, is clearly not a standard horror narrative; although the film appears average at first, its concept and tone eventually drag you into Masooda’s universe and force you to embark on a journey with him.
The first half featured an intriguing drama in which Gopi and Sangeetha tried to treat Nazia’s condition with both medication and Peer Baba; those scenes were quite captivating, and the tension kept viewers interested throughout the first half and piqued their interest in the second half, which begins intriguingly by revealing all the layers and gradually revealing the twists makes the movie interesting and keeps you glued to your seat.
Sangitha returned to the role of science teacher and naive mother after a long absence. Tiruveer is as calm as ever as Gopi, and his understated performance contributes to the character’s credibility. Kavya Kalyan Ram is just alright because she doesn’t have much to do, but the rest of the actors performed an excellent job.
Sai Kiran sought to create a distinct horror film, and he succeeded in creating the best horror thriller. His direction of the film drags the audience into the story, and he expertly transmits emotion through his narration.
Masooda is technically superb despite having a limited budget. Prashanth R. Vihari made an excellent job of generating scary music with various instruments, Nagesh Banell did an excellent job of photography, and the rest of the team performed admirably.
Masooda is one of the best current horror films.
