Nivetha was born and raised in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, an Indian state. She was born into a Madurai family and raised in the Madurai culture, but later moved to Dubai to pursue an education. Nivetha Pethuraj received her Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Heriot-Watt University in Dubai after completing her studies at Crescent English High School and the Primary School in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.
In the beginning of her career, Nivetha worked as a model. She moved from New York to Los Angeles because she was so committed to her modelling career. While there were fifteen contestants altogether, Nivetha was the only Indian one of them, and she still took home the crown as Miss India UAE. The competition was held at Abu Dhabi’s Al Raha Beach Hotel on April 11, 2015.

Nivetha Pethuraj is a model and an actress in Tamil cinema. The 2015 winner of the Miss India UAE pageant, she has been active in the Bollywood film industry since 2016. After starting out as a model in Dubai, Nivetha went on to become the 2015 Miss India UAE.
She is the only other woman of Indian ancestry in the room. After finishing her degree, she relocated to Kollywood and appeared alongside Dinesh in the film Oru Naal Koothu. Her breakthrough performance solidified her status as a movie star in her own right. She has starred in two major films since her breakthrough in “Oru Naal Koothu,” “Podhuvaga En Manasu Thangam,” opposite Udhayanidhu Stalin, and “Tik Tik Tik,” opposite Jayam Ravi.
Nivetha, who just made her big screen debut, is looking to fill out her 2017 with a few more roles in Tamil films.
