Revathi Education
Asha Kelunni Nair, the son of Lalitha Kelunni and Indian Army major Malank Kelunni Nair, a native of Palakkad, was born in Cochin as Revathi. When she was in school, she took part in a fashion show. A popular Tamil magazine chose a group photo from the performance to be the front cover. She just so happened to be in the director Bharathiraja’s eye when he was looking for a new lead for his most recent movie, Mann Vasanai.

Asha Kelunni, Revathi’s birth name, was given to her on Friday, July 8, 1966 in Kochi. He completed his education in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Revathi comes from a family who speaks Malayalam. Revathi’s mother is Lalitha Kelunni, and her father is Malank Kelunni. Her father was a major in the Indian Army. She has a younger sister named Bindu and a cousin by the name of Geetha Vijayan. Another Indian actress who performs in Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi movies is Geetha.
She was married to Indian actor, director, and cinematographer Suresh Chandra Menon, who worked on Tamil and Malayalam films. Revathi married Suresh in 1986. They never gave birth to children. After having some difficulties with their marriage, they both filed for divorce in 2002. After that, Revathi and Suresh Menon jointly requested a divorce from the court. In 2013, Revathi filed for divorce in a Chennai family court. In an interview on the occasion of her 48th birthday, she revealed that she is her daughter’s biological mother and that she used IVF to get pregnant. Revathi named her adorable daughter Mahee.
Revathi Career
Revathi’s debut film was Mann Vasanai, an Indian Tamil romance drama. She also appeared in the 1983 Indian Malayalam drama film Kattathe Kilikkoodu. Revathi enjoyed a successful acting career in South India from 1983 until 1986. In the year 1984, she had an appearance in the drama movie Seethamma Pelli. Later, a Malayalam dub of this movie called Thennal Thedunna Poovu was also available. She and her spouse shared a leading role in the Tamil thriller Pudhiya Mugam from 1993. The release date for the Revathi-starring movie Major is set for June 2022.
In the Indian Tamil film Kai Kodukkum Kai, Revathi portrayed a blind character. In 2022, Kajol played the lead in a Bollywood comedy-drama directed by Revathi. When Kajol discovered the movie The Last Hurrah’s plot, she was over the moon.
