Mithun Chakraborty Early Life

Gourang Chakraborty (Mithun) was born to a Hindu and Bengali family on June 16, 1950, in Barisal, East Pakistan (now Bangladesh). He currently resides in Ooty, Tamil Nadu, with his family. After receiving his degree, he relocated to Pune, India to enrol in the Film and Television Institute of India. He was a close buddy of famed Naxalite Ravi Ranjan before breaking into the film industry, but until the mid-1970s, very few people were aware of this. He made the decision to leave the Naxal movement and pursue a career in filmmaking as a result of problems at home.

Hindu Brahmins Basantokumar and Santirani Chakraborty, both from Bengal, were the parents of Mithun Da. When an electrical current killed him, his lone sibling also perished. With Indian actress Yogeeta Bali (Kishore Kumar’s third wife), he had four children in 1979: three sons (Mahaakshay Chakraborty aka Mimoh, Ushmey Chakraborty, and Namashi Chakraborty), and a daughter (Dishani Chakraborty).
