She completed her pre-university coursework at Mount Carmel College in Bengaluru and her high school education at Sophia in that city. Later, she made an attempt to complete a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sociology at the Indira Gandhi National Open University in New Delhi, but she was unable to finish because of her modelling obligations.
Deepika Padukone Early Life
Although Deepika was born on January 5, 1986 in Copenhagen, Denmark (she will be 36 in 2022), she spent the majority of her childhood there in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. She had aspirations of becoming a badminton player like her father ever since she was a young child. She won the national badminton championship while still in high school. She started working as a child model when she was only eight years old, appearing in several advertising campaigns. Though she had initially intended to pursue a career as a badminton player, she has since changed her mind and is now focusing on a career in the fashion industry.
Her family belongs to the middle class and they are Brahmins (Chitrapur Saraswat). Prakash Padukone, her father, was the first badminton player from India to win the All England Championship. Ujjala Padukone, her mother, works as a travel agent. Her sister Anisha Padukone plays golf professionally. In 2004, she started a modelling career and studied under fashion legend Prasad Bidapa. She appeared on the runway wearing Suneet Varma’s creations during Lakme Fashion Week in 2005. She made her catwalk debut when she was just 17 years old. She rose to fame as a result of her appearance in a Liril soap commercial. She gained notoriety after taking part in a Kingfisher Calendar print ad campaign in 2006.
She then relocated to Mumbai where she lived with her aunt. She appeared in the accompanying music video for “Naam Hai Tera,” a song by Himesh Reshammiya.
