Kapil Sharma Education
After completing his secondary school at the Shri Ram Ashram Senior Secondary School in Amritsar, Punjab, he continued his education at the Hindu College there for his undergraduate studies. When he was a college student, he participated in singing, dancing, and acting competitions. He received various accolades at the time. He took part in the Punjabi comedic reality series “Hasde Hasande Ravo” in its sixth season on MH One. Then he took part in “The Great Punjabi Comedy Event,” another comedy show in the Punjabi language.
Kapil Sharma Early Life
He was born into a Brahmin Punjabi family on April 2, 1981 in Amritsar, Punjab, India. His close friends call him “Kappu.” He had always wanted to be a singer, but in the end he chose to pursue comedy. He has a variety of talents and is particularly good at humour, acting, and singing. He fought valiantly his entire life to support his family financially. When he was in the tenth grade, he used to work in a PCO. Additionally, he worked in a textile mill for a few months.
He then started acting in theatre and small shows. Later, he began participating in comedy shows, where he found great success. He has a tight bond with his family and frequently credits his mother for his success. He won the comedy reality programme “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge,” earning a prize of Rs. 10 lakh, which he used to pay for his sister’s wedding. Kapil has promoted both animal rescue and the adoption of stray cats and dogs. He has also argued in favour of the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” to keep society clean.
Kapil Sharma Career
In 2007, he participated in and took first place in the third season of the humorous reality show “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge” in Hindi. Additionally, he made various other comedy programmes, such as Star Ya Rockstar (2009), Hans Baliye (2009), Comedy Circus (2010–2013), and Ustaadon Ka Ustaad, in which he also made appearances (2009–2009). (2011). In 2008, he hosted the humorous TV show Chhote Miyan. In 2013, he co-hosted the sixth season of the dance reality series “Jhalak Dikhla Jaa” with TV anchor Manish Paul.
In the 2010 Bollywood film “Bhavnao Ko Samjho,” he made his acting debut as Thakur’s son. For six seasons in a row, he won Comedy Circus competitions, including Comedy Circus Ke SuperStars (2010), Comedy Circus Ka Jadoo (2010), Jubilee Comedy Circus (2010–2011), Comedy Circus Ke Taansen (2011), Comedy Circus Ka Naya Daur (2011), and Kahani Comedy Circus Ki (2012).
Later, he started his own production company, K9 Productions. In 2013, he started hosting his own comedy show, “Comedy Nights with Kapil,” which his production business created and aired on Colors TV. Later, it advanced to become the most watched scripted television show in India. The programme ran successfully for three years till it was cancelled in 2016 due to issues with Colors TV.
The 61st Filmfare Awards in 2016, the 62nd Filmfare Awards in 2017, the Star Guild Awards in 2015, the 22nd Star Screen Awards in 2016, and the 60th Filmfare Awards in 2015 were among the award ceremonies he presided over. He was given the role of “Shivkumar Ramkrishan Punj,” the main character, in the Bollywood film “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon” in 2015. Despite the court issuing a legal notice for the film’s similarity to the Kannada film Nimbehuli (2014). The film received positive reviews from critics.
The comedy show he hosted, The Kapil Sharma Show, which aired on Sony Entertainment Television, was cancelled in August 2017 due to his health issues. He started presenting the show in 2016. The Voice (2015), Indian Idol Junior (2015), Farah Ki Daawat (2015), Aap Ki Adalat (2015), Dance India Dance (2015), Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 8 (2014), The Anupam Kher Show (2014), Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi (2015), Koffee with Karan Season 5 (2017), and Bigg Boss Season 11 are just a few of the popular TV shows on which he made guest appearances (2017).
In 2017, he both produced and starred in the Bollywood film “Firangi,” but the film had a dismal box office performance. He started hosting “Family Time with Kapil Sharma” again in 2018 after having previously done so.
