Subhash Ghai completed his secondary education in Delhi before attending college in Rohtak, Haryana.
Subhash Ghai Early Life
Although he was born in Nagpur, his father was a dentist in Delhi. He enrolled at the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune not long after graduating from high school.
Rehana, also known as Mukta, was the bride of his union. His daughters are Muskaan Ghai, who is younger, and Meghna Ghai puri, who is older. Meghna Ghai Puri serves as the Whistling Wood International Institute’s president. Even though he attended college in Delhi, he was born and raised in Nagpur. His younger brother’s name is Anil Ghai, and his daughter Amna Sheriff is also an actor.
Subhash Ghai Career
Acting in movies like Aradhana (1969) and Umang (1970) to start his film career, he later went on to direct his first movie, Kalicharan. In addition to his success as a filmmaker, Subhash’s Mukta Arts Private Limited has created a number of films that have received high praise, including Iqbal (2006), which won a National Award.
Beyond his on-screen performances, the veteran actor made contributions to Indian cinema by founding the Whistling Woods International Film and Media Institution in Mumbai, which educates aspiring actors and directors.
His filmography includes works from the 1960s and 1970s, including “Taqdeer” and “Ardhana.” His debut film as a director, Kalicharan, was highly recommended by Shatrughan Sinha. Ghai ji made Jackie Shroff’s entry into the film industry possible. He played a significant role in the movie Hero. Additionally, he played a crucial role in Anil Kapoor’s ascent to fame.
He started his own film school, Whistling Woods International, in Mumbai. He started the prosperous business Mukta Arts private limited in the year 2000.
