She takes great pride in her attention to fashion, and she and her mother own the apparel line Contemporary Dupatta. She was successful in Tamil, Telegu, Kannada, as well as Punjabi and Hindi films. She is not particularly fond of cheese or butter. She was once persuaded to give in in exchange for a significant role, but she rebuffed the suggestion and challenged the casting couch.

She debuted in the first series of “Kahiin to Hoga” when she started acting on Hindi television in 2003. Then, she appeared in series like Teen Pehliiyan (2018–19), Sacred Games (2018–19), Decoupled (2018–19), Kasautii Zindagi Kay (2005–06), Kaajjal (2006–07), 24 (2016–17), and Decoupled (2018–19).

She made her film debut in Kannada in 2008 with Paramesha Panwala. She debuted in Tollywood with Raju Maharaju (2009) and the Punjabi film business with Dharti after finding success in Bollywood (2011).
