Verdict

In India, romantic comedies are among the most popular movie genres because so many of the films produced there attempt to include love and romance into the story in some way. The fairly shallow plot of “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar” relies heavily on the personalities of both key actors. The entire purpose of this film is to appeal to young people.

The conversations between these two characters and the subsequent sequences are fairly common and have already been seen in numerous films. The movie’s first half is filled with dull moments that don’t generate much interest, but the intermission segments do, and the second half builds on that interest with some strong scenes that carry it through to the very end.

Ranbir Kapoor puts on enthusiastic performances as usual, but we would rather to see him in better roles than the typical ones that he can easily pull off. Shraddha Kapoor needs to work on her facial expressions a bit more if she wants to be more stunning. Dimple Kapadia is excellent, and Anubhav Singh Bassi’s speech occasionally makes people giggle. The other actors all performed their roles as needed for the characters.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar appears good on paper. All of Pritam Chakraborty’s songs are upbeat and lighten our attitude. Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran’s cinematography is excellent, yet most of the photos have overly saturated hues. The film’s length is a negative. High production values.

Once again, director Luv Ranjan sought to make a film that would appeal to today’s audience, yet the most of the sequences are uninteresting and formulaic.

Ultimately, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is a romantic comedy that somewhat amuses viewers thanks to some amusing language and Ranbir Kapoor’s enthusiastic performance.
