Verdict
Anurag Kashyap produced “Mirage” with the same intensity and thrill that were there in the original, which was a major smash in its language. Other than the nativity and the language used, there are no significant changes in the film. The first half of the film starts slowly and establishes its point gradually. When the lead actress’s current life drastically changes as a result of the choices she made in the past, the movie becomes more compelling.
Taapsee Pannu has an ok performance and gives most of the scenes a routine appearance with her reactions. The actor Pavail Gupta has a strong screen presence and the ability to draw viewers to his performances. Impressive performance by the young actor who portrayed a 12-year-old child from the past. Everyone else who played a part did it well.
Dobaara looks fantastic on paper. Shor Police’s background music gives the scenes the necessary power and suspense. One of the film’s standout features is the cinematography by Sylvester Fonseca. The film’s visuals are amazing and more akin to a Hollywood production.
Anurag Kashyap made no alterations that might have had an impact on the plot and stayed true to the movie’s original spirit. He never fails to please with his creations, and the same is true of this remake.
Last but not least, Dobaaraa is an accurate remake of the original. This science fiction thriller is definitely worth watching.
