Arun Kumar Ahuja, Govinda’s father, worked in India’s entertainment sector. His mother, Nirmala Devi, was a well-known singer and actress in India. In 1986, he became interested in Sunita Munjal, who is the sister-in-law of Govinda’s maternal uncle Anand Singh. Despite getting hitched on March 11, 1987, they kept their union a secret for a full year out of fear of offending his female fan following. Tina Ahuja, the daughter of Sunita and Govinda, was born on July 16, 1989. On July 16, 1990, the pair announced their engagement. On March 1, 1997, the couple gave birth to their son, Yashvardhan Ahuja. Tina is an actress, and Yashwardhan works as an assistant director in Hindi movies. Lakshmi, Govinda’s second child, was born early and was so weak that she died just four months later.
