Nag Ashwin Upcoming Movies List: Nag Ashwin, one of Telugu cinema’s most promising new directors, began his career as an assistant on the set of the psychological thriller Nenu Meeku Telusa? (2008). Following that, he worked as a screenwriter and assistant director on Sekhar Kammula’s critically praised films Leader (2010) and Life is Beautiful (2011).
Ashwin made his directorial debut with the 2015 film Yevade Subramanyam, which he authored and in which Nani played the lead character. Ashwin wrote and directed the 2018 biographical drama film Mahanati (Nadigaiyar Thilagam in Tamil), which was inspired by the life and career of famed old-school actress Savitri and stars Keerthy Suresh in the titular character. He has Jathi Ratnalu coming out in 2022.

Nag Ashwin was named the year’s finest Telugu director at the 66th Filmfare Awards South. Mahanati was exhibited in the Indian Panorama Mainstream section of the 49th International Film Festival of India, and it also won the “Equality in Cinema Award” at the 2018 Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.
Ashwin’s next film will star Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone. The film is produced and released by Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema, respectively.
