His early education was completed at St. Anselm’s Ajmer in Ajmer, Rajasthan, and St. Joseph’s College in Nainital. He continued his education and graduated from Aligarh Muslim University in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, with a BA in arts. The National School of Drama was his next stop after that, in New Delhi.

Naseeruddin Shah Early Life

By then, Naseeruddin Shah will be 73 years old. He was created on July 20, 1949, in the Indian city of Barabanki to a Muslim household. When he was just 14 years old, he made his stage debut. He made his acting debut in a Shakespearean production of “The Merchant of Venice.”

Their son, Naseeruddin Shah, was born to Aley Mohammed Shah and Farrukh Sultan. He has two further siblings in addition to Retired Lieutenant General Zameerud-din Shah, who is his older brother. Zameerud-din Shah is a former Lieutenant General in the Indian Army and the brother of the current vice chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University.

On November 1st, 1969, he became legally married for the first time to the late Parveen Murada, also known as Manara Sikri. When they first met, Shah was 19 and Parveen was 34. She attended Pakistan’s Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). In the 1970s and 1980s, he did, however, start to feel something for the actress Ratna Pathak. Shah married Ratna Pathak on April 1st, 1982, after divorcing his first spouse, Manara Sikri.

The actress Heeba Shah is Shah’s first marriage child. Imaad and Vivaan Shah, sons of his second wife, are the result of their union. His two sons are both working actors.

His debut on-screen appearance was in the movie Nishant (1975). Following that, he made appearances in a number of movies, including Aakrosh, Mirch Masala, Sparsh, Trikal, Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyon Ata Hai, Bhavni Bhavai, Mohan Joshi Hazir Ho!, Junoon, Mandi, Ardh Satya, Katha, and many others. The theatre company “Motley Production” was started by him, Tom Alter, and Benjamin Gilani in 1977. The Prithvi Theatre debuted in 1979 with a performance of Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot. He didn’t start working in commercial Bollywood till the movie “Hum Paanch,” though.

His college campus, Nainital’s St. Joseph College, served as the backdrop for his ground-breaking 1983 film, “Masoom.” He had numerous appearances in movies throughout the 1980s, including Ghulami (1985), Karma (1986), Ijaazat (1987), Jalwa (1988), and Hero Hiralal (1989). In 1988, Gulzar was cast as Mirza Ghalib in the TV series he was directing. He played the lead in “Mohra,” his 100th movie. He received a lot of praise for his role in “Sarfarosh,” which came out in 1999. In 2011, he played the lead in “The Dirty Picture.” He made a fleeting appearance in Khuda Ke Liye, a Pakistani movie. His second film, Zinda Bhaag, has been selected by the Pakistani Academy of Motion Pictures to represent the nation in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 86th Academy Awards. In 2006, he made his filmmaking debut with “Yun Hota To Kya Hota,” his maiden movie.
