Radhika Apte Education

She attended Tilak Nagar High School in Dombivli, Maharashtra, before receiving homeschooling with four of her friends. Her main instructor throughout her education was Madhumalati Apte, a mathematician with a Ph.D. from France. Besides his formal education, Apte spent eight years studying the Kathak dance style. She received her BA in Economics and Mathematics from Fergusson College in Pune.

Radhika was born to a Marathi Hindu family on September 7, 1985 (she is 33 as of 2018) in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. Her father, Charudutt Apte Sr., is the head of the neurosurgery division at Pune’s Sahyadri Hospital. Her mother has a medical background, just like her. Her brother is Ketan Apte.

She started performing in Marathi plays at the age of 18. In 2003, “Nako Re Baba,” her debut play, made its debut. She went on to act in several other Hindi and English plays, including Bombay Black, Tu, Kanyadaan, Matra Ratra, Brain Surgeon, and That Time. She was a part of the Pune-based theatre group “Aasakta Kalamanch,” founded by Mohit Takalkar.

In the 2005 Bollywood film “Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi!” where she played the role of Anjali, Radhika made her acting debut. Shor in the City and I Am are two of her later Balaji Film Production credits. She made her acting debut in the Bengali film Antaheen (2009), the Marathi film Samaantar (2009), the Telugu film Rakht Charitra (2010), the Tamil film Dhoni (2012), and the Malayalam film Haram (2015).
