With “Bangalore Naatkal,” an official remake of the Malayalam hit “Bangalore Days,” starring Arya, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Rana Daggubati, and a few others, Bommarillu Baskar made his directorial debut in Tamil. However, the film was not well received by the public. His next movie, “Most Eligible Bachelor,” starring Akhil Akkineni, was a big commercial hit after he waited almost five years to shoot it. Following the success of “Most Eligible Bachelor,” he was approached by several big production companies with offers to work on the script.
